Moving to higher ground • Forget everything you thought you knew about the next-generation Ford Everest. Liana Reiners is convinced that nothing you would have read or heard could possibly come close to describing just what an amazing vehicle this is.
Hey good-looking! • Clear skies, a mild temperature and not even the slightest breeze… when the weather is good, Cape Town really does show off. Getting to experience it in all its glory from behind the wheel of an equally pleasant and attractive vehicle such as the all-new Nissan Qashqai, makes it that much more enjoyable. Liana Reiners attended the recent media launch and tells more.

Boom box of power!
A glimpse of light • Many people travel simply for leisure, and for the team of Adventure Afrika, it’s usually in pursuit of adventure. However, some trips are for a much greater cause. Anton Willemse Jnr recently embarked on a cross-country journey to raise awareness for childhood cancer and bring joy to a few inspirational and wonderful children.
All for a sweet cause
If at first you don't succeed… • Kevin Krummeck and his wife, Donna, have had some great adventures, including driving their Land Rover Defender – affectionately dubbed The Beast – from his town of birth, Dundee in South Africa, across Africa, Asia, and Europe, to her town of birth, Dundee in Scotland. They share their story.
A new way of life • Calvin Fisher took Suzuki’s aspirational urban jungle hatchback, the Ignis, on a road trip to Tulbagh… in search of adventure, Wi-Fi and lodgings.
Vindoux Tree House Guest Farm & Spa
Travel guide • Only 90 minutes from Cape Town, the historic town of Tulbagh provides an excellent base from which to explore the Cape Winelands and surrounding areas. Part of the Witzenberg municipal region, immediate neighbouring towns are Gouda, Wolseley, Ceres, and Prince Alfred's Hamlet. There is plenty to see and do in the area.
The last hooray • Henry Jonker and his two sons, Jean and Lian, were the last people to camp at Noup before the area fell under mining control earlier this year. It was an unforgettable experience that this adventurous trio will probably never forget.
When men were men & Jeeps were unbreakable • Roger Gaisford relays the amusing tale of a legendary Jeep, the colourful characters who owned it, the great adventures that were undertaken… and the bottle of Dutch courage that was there every step of the way.
Head in the clouds • With the excitement and anticipation of a child finally getting to the front of the queue to receive his ice cream cone on a hot sunny day, so too was Dave Koster. He was about to receive his ice cream cone in the form of his first Land Rover Bush Run.
The land of droungt and mercy • No one who visits the Kalahari...
